Learning Spanish for beginners



With almost 483 million native speakers,
Spanish ranks as the world's number 2 language. Well that's a huge number but is it that simple to start speaking this beautiful language like a native ?
Well it's honesty depends a lot on you, it's impossible to start a language journey without a deep desire, so I hope I can turn your curiosity into a goal you will work hard to achieve it.


1. Short abstract about Spanish language :

   Spanish or Castilian (Castellano) is a Romance language,derived from a dialect of spoken Latin,which was brought to Iberian peninsula by the romans during the second Punic war,beginning in 210 BC (a well-known information from Wikipedia) but did you know that Spanish belongs to the Indo - European languages including French, English, Russian and many languages in India. these languages initially spread across Europe and many areas of South Asia before reaching other parts of the world through colonization.



                 
2. Why is it necessary to learn Spanish ?

   There are unlimited reasons to learn a foreign language,and everyone knows theme,But why Spanish ? Here some benefits about learning Spanish maybe you know some of theme and maybe not.
   
  •more opportunities and chances in your work career or education.

  •imagine learning the second most - spoken language and being able to communicate with people from all the continents.

  •speaking Spanish or any foreign language gives you more confidence and makes you grow as a person.

  •if you have a personal passion for Spanish culture,believe me when I say that's going to be your biggest motivation to start learning this language.


  •as a language student, my main reason is the simplicity and the ease of this language. Don't be surprised when I tell you that Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn because it shares a huge number of vocabularies and words with English, French, Arabic and many other languages. So if you're a native speaker of one these languages, learning Spanish would not be a problem for you.


3. start learning Spanish :

  Start learning  Spanish is a big project which needs a lot of preparation before starting the journey. The right preparation before you start is your first step, so make sure that your first step will be fixed or your whole work will collapse.

*Don't worry if you can't understand everything, it's the normal thing, after all you are just settings your feet for your journey.

*Keep asking questions, and don't be shy if you keep making mistakes because you're going to learn from them.

*Keep this in your mind : sometimes you will lose your motivation and start thinking of giving up, well this is a very normal thing that happened to all of us.

*Don't wait too long before starting to speak with people in your new language because speaking regularly a language makes you more confident.

*Lean words and phrases that you frequently use like : what's your name? How are you? Nice to meet you ....ect and use them as often as possible.

*Watching movies and series and listening to music in Spanish will improve your vocabulary so fast. This is one of the most effective ways to learn a new language.



4.your first lesson :

  Now after you have decided to take this challenge, we will start the real thing. As I already said, your first step will be the key for a successful language journey. So you're going to start with :

   _Alphabets : the best way to start learning Spanish is starting with the basics, understanding the Spanish alphabet sounds will make the learning process a lot easier. Spanish is phonetic, which means that as long as you memorize the sound of each letter, you will be ready to say any word.

  _Numbers : it's very important to start memorize numbers from 0 to 10 and 10 to 20 and ...ect. Try to memorize at least 5 numbers every day.

  _Consonants : if you are an English speaker you may find a few consonants that pose a problem, which include b,v,ñ,rr and ll. But don't worry this problem won't stay for too long because when you get used to pronounce words every single time, you will find our that you pronounce consonants correctly.

  _Basic vocabularies : focusing on learning the most common words. Words that you often use on your everyday conversations. You will be surprised how far you can manage a friendly conversation with very little words. Here is one the best sources of the most common words in Spanish :

5. Online Spanish learning courses :


 A lot of persons keep asking about the effectiveness of courses and online learning programs and is it as efficient as school lessons. Well some of these courses are very helpful and gives a high learning quality, in addition it has some advantages that are not available in the school programs like the practice on oral and written skills, and pushing the learners to start speaking as fast as possible.

But when it comes to find your best online source to start learning Spanish, you're going to surprised by the number of courses and programs in the market and you're going to ask yourself : what's the appropriate course for me ?
In this few lines I'm going to share with you my personal experience with 4 courses that I have tried before.


 Synergy Spanish :

 one of the unique and easiest ways to learn Spanish is this course, including a lot of audios, videos, apps and lessons With their special 138 words program. So if you're taking a trip to a Spanish country, and you want to communicate with the natives. This might be your course.



 Rocket Spanish :

a very popular learning program, rocket Spanish one of the most helpful courses that takes from a total newbie to speaking proficient Spanish. This course has a strict program including interactive audio, language and culture lessons.



 Spanish uncovered :

this beautiful course provides a fun and new way to learn Spanish, it begins by telling an easy and fun story that gives the learners a lot of motivation with a very clear instructions. It has another advantage which is students can take control of their own learning process, thought is slightly expensive.



 Duolingo Spanish :

 another learning program, actually a very known program so that it becomes a supplemental program by schools in their learning courses. Depends on making students coming back every day by making the learning process fun and enjoyable, with a lot of exercises and repetitions. Personally I'm not a fan of Duolingo thought is free but it's not really comprehensive enough to become fluent.
